In today’s episode I am going to be talking about what it means to be a Fierce Business Babe and how to determine your own methods, phrases, qualities and values that you can create to define your own branding and to really help you stand out in your industry. Plus, I’ve added a little something special just for my listeners! 

 

Qualities of a Fierce Business Babe

Today I really want to dive into what it actually means to be a Fierce Business Babe and how to determine your own method, or your own phrase and values, that you can create to define your branding. This will really help you as a business owner, you as a coach, really stand out in your industry. I hear so much, almost too often,  “ Oh, It's so saturated. I cant start my business. There's too many coaches in the world.” This is going to help you stand out. Yes, It's a saturated market, but you know what, there's more and more people coming to the online space that need your help even more. There are literally an abundance of clients for you. So that's what I want to get into today.

Words, qualities, values; these are all very, very, very powerful elements of alignment that you can create in your business. These are key things, messaging, that you show and help show the perception or the embodiment of your company. These are going to be the phrases that you want in your community. You want your audience and employees to share about you and use it in any conversation when you come up like “Oh who’s that Melissa girl? She’s the Fierce Business Babe. Her girls, her communities, are the  Fierce Business Babes.” You want them to share what it looks like to be part of that Community, what it feels like to be part of that Community. This is what we really want to strive for, for you and your business as well. So, before we can do that I get to share with you the qualities of a Fierce Business Babe.

I am beyond excited to share these with you. These are the core qualities of a Fierce Business Babe. I embody these, my clients embody these, my employees, my team members, and all the Fierce Business Babes out there embody these qualities that I'm about to share with you. I really started my business, years ago, to help empower women to find the freedom that they desire in their lives. Whether that’s freedom of money, freedom of time, through entrepreneurship. This meant me stepping up as a leader, me showing up for my community and really what being a Fierce Business Babe meant by showing me and a way of being. What I mean by that is our actions speak louder than our words. The way that we treat other people, the way that we treat our clients, the way we treat our potential clients, our audience, strangers, our team members, our employees are all very important examples of how our actions speak.  Here are some of my ways of being and I want to share these with you.

Some of my ways of being; I love to give without expectation and constantly Focus outward. What does this actually mean? This means me being a “Go-Giver”. For those of you that have worked with me or have been clients, you are very familiar with this. Always giving, adding value, and not expecting anything at all in return. Providing value whether somebody does or doesn't end up working with you, because you truly want to give it to them. There's no expectation out of it. You're truly giving, and the great thing is, people can feel that energy with you. If you were truly giving, truly being and acting as a “Go Giver”, people can feel that and they want to be around that energy, people want that. Being a “Go Giver” means always giving, adding value, not expecting anything in return, and providing that value whether someone does or doesn't end up working with you. So stepping in as a leader and knowing that you're here to inspire others to live into their greater Visions. You're here to inspire them to be more and do more in their lives, with our daily work, with what's next.We Fierce Business Babes, love taking radical responsibility for actions. That's what we do. That’s what leaders do. That’s what coaches do. So we don't run away. We don't avoid issues. We go head to head and acknowledge our actions and truly take responsibility. We are always leading with honesty, integrity and working from a place of love, not from a place of fear. 

Be Fiercely Inspirational

If you’re a Fierce Business Babe, the first quality is to be fiercely inspirational. You are here to inspire and to empower. You truly empower others to see the possibility of themselves that you see that, they can’t see yet. You inspire others to step outside their comfort zones, you inspire them to take risks. You are your own best client and you show that. You inspire others to be their best. You can truly be inspiring no matter where you are in your business journey. So even if you haven’t reached six figures, or multiple six-figures, no matter where you are in your journey, you can still be inspiring. You have the ability and the quality to do stuff, I can guarantee you that. Right now in this moment, wherever you are in your business, in your fitness journey, your love journey, your mindset Journey, whatever it is that you're focusing on, you are further along than somebody else. That person that you're a little further along than, they could use your help, they can use her advice. To this person, to this one person, to these many people, you can be such an incredible inspiration.I always say, you only need to be a few steps ahead. That goes hand-in-hand with this as well. You truly only need to be a few steps ahead to be the incredible inspiration and to make a difference in someone’s life, and to truly be that source of transformation for them. 

Be Fiercely Powerful

So the second quality that we're about to dig into is to be fiercely powerful. You are powerful in your life. You Are powerful in your business. You stand your ground. You have boundaries in your life. You've got boundaries in your business. You respect yourself and you have limits, right? You're not letting people walk over you, you say no to events you don't want to go to, you say no to clients that aren't ideal for you.I've had times where I didn’t always want to say no, but I had to. For example, I've gotten on sales calls to people before where they've been literally in line at the grocery store and I can hear the Checker in the background, and before getting on the call, I did confirmations to ensure that this potential client who wanted to work with me was going to be in a space where they could focus, hear me, give me their all and really respect my time and their time and they obviously didn't. So what does that mean? They weren't an ideal client for me. They were not respecting my time, and because of that I said no. I have limits. I have boundaries. I don't work with just anybody. We have boundaries, and you get to have those boundaries as well, because you're fiercely powerful. So you've got boundaries, right, in your business. You probably have work hours. You don’t just run your business twenty-four hours a day. You're not getting up at 2 in the morning when a client messages you and respond to them. You have boundaries and you turn business off whenever your work day is over, whether it's 5 p.m., 6 p.m. Usually for me, it's 4 to 5 p.m. depending on if I have coaching calls. I have boundaries and all of my boundaries are in all of my client contracts with my girls. You’ve had things in your life, and in your business, that are just non-negotiable. That's you standing your ground. That's you being fiercely powerful. You advocate for what you believe in and you actually stick behind it. You give yourself self-love and days off when you need to. There are days, and it’s okay to have days like this, where you just need to hang out in bed and Netflix all day with a glass, or two or three, of some Prosecco. It’s okay, It happens. You can take days off. I urge you to take multiple days off a week, if you can, so that you can really fill your cup up. You’re the CEO of your business and of your life. You’re fiercely powerful. 

Fiercely Authentic

Third, is fiercely authentic. You are so true to yourself. You talk the talk, and guess what, you'll also walk the walk. You truly live a life of Integrity and honesty. You’re trustworthy. You’re so loyal. So kind and genuine, and you know what you do? You generate thoughts and power from within and then you send it out in words to add value to others. You are the best version of you. You’re kind. You’re so kind. I don’t know if I can say that word enough, kind, kind, kind, and you treat your clients like gold. What happens is, you attract so many incredible people in your community because of its quality, because of how fiercely authentic that you are.

Fiercely Profitable

Now the fourth quality is, and you’re going to love this one, you're fiercely profitable. This includes both your life and your business. You are generating profits in your business. You're making money so that you can create freedom of money. It’s okay to want to be extremely profitable in your business and I push you to want that, because you can do so much with that money. You can give back to the world. You can go and donate to Charities. You can start your own Charities. There is so much good that can come out of creating that profit, of being profitable. You can create that freedom of money so that you aren’t stressing about how much something costs when you go to the store. Imagine how it would feel to go to a clothing store and just pull things off the rack because you actually like the look and feel of them without stressing about the price tag.

Same with the grocery store, being able to go in and walk out with a full cart and not even blink an eye. That is truly freedom of money. I want that for you. It's not just about the money, you're also profitable in other ways that don't involve money and you're probably thinking “Melissa, How does that work?” Well, I'm going to tell you. What you do, as if a Fierce Business Babe, is create profitable experiences for others by adding so much value, because you're such a go giver. You create profitable experiences in your courses and your coaching programs. People love working with you. You’re creating such a high vibe experience with them and it is extremely profitable for them and for you. You're being intentional with your days in order to generate more profit. You're fiercely inspiring, fiercely inspirational, fiercely powerful, fiercely authentic and fiercely profitable.

How You Can Do This For Yourself

So these are the four core qualities of a Fierce Business Babe and if you're reading this right now, you're more than likely embodying these qualities too. Now you're probably asking, “okay Melissa, I love those qualities and that would be amazing. I love your community, but how can I do this for myself? How can I generate this for myself?”  So now I want to help you start to think about this answer to get your brain rolling around this so that you can start to generate your core values or maybe your core methods like this in your business. Here's an exercise I like to do with my clients. I’d like to ask you a few questions. So if you don't already have a notebook out, go grab a notebook or piece of paper, pen, whatever you can find. You're definitely going to want to do this exercise. You're going to write down a few questions. Write the first question down and then leave some space, like enough for a paragraph, maybe a third of a page, because there's going to be three questions. So write down these three questions with plenty of space to write in, like ⅓ of a page. 

  1. Who do you want to become as a leader? 

When I ask you who you want to become as the leaders to go ahead and write that question down to question number one of the top of your paper.What words come to mind now? I'm asking you what words come to mind for you. Who do you want to become as a leader? What words come to mind; passionate, responsible, respectful, empowering, authentic, vulnerable.

  1. What do you appreciate about yourself? What are some of those qualities that you appreciate about yourself? 

For example, compassionate, kind, honest, loyal, trustworthy, confident, curious.Write down a minimum of 20 words for this one as well. 

  1. What do you appreciate about your clients? 

I want you to be able to have time to go through and do this exercise. So don’t spend too much time doing it, put a timer on for maybe 2 minutes per question and just write down as many words that come to mind. Try to get a minimum of 20 words to each question. 

Some of these words are going to overlap. Once you've completed this exercise, I want you to go through and circle the four to five words that just right away, instantly stand out to you. Like, when you read it, for some reason, the words are like bolded and italicized. They're not, but when you see them, you see it just popping out at you, jumping out of the page. Those are the words I want you to circle. Do this for each of the questions and those are probably going to be some of the words that may be part of your value system. You may not pick your dream words in one sitting. It took me a few months to determine the core values and qualities for my business. So remember it can take time to do so, don't feel like it's got to be right now in those six minutes that you spend answering those questions. You definitely have got some time. 

So now, you're probably asking “what's more important, do I try to find a method inside of my coaching program? Do I try and define a method of my branding? Do I have a method of coaching all together? What do I do, Melissa?” So now, it’s brainstorm time. All of these work in your business. You can create a method that you use inside of your program that your clients use. You can create some type of method in your branding that may be used in all of your programs. You can create a method of your coaching all together; values, keywords. I would recommend going with one rather than both right away, because you get to stay very clear with your audience on your branding and your messaging. So, let me ask you. In your program, is there a method that you teach? Is there like a three-step method that you can teach? like, maybe month one is ___, month two is ___, etc. Do you have a name for that method? Maybe that is what you're really going to push to your audience. Maybe that's the method that can really help you stand out because nobody else has that method, just you. Start talking about it more, in your content, when you share your client wins; “My client did ___ and ___ using the ‘____ method”. You could also create some kind of method just in your coaching all together that you truly stand behind. Do you have core qualities that fit into your entire business. For example, the core qualities of a Fierce Business Babe. They're going to be talked about in all of my programs and at all of the different levels, because these qualities fit for all entrepreneurs at any level. So start brainstorming different methods that you are using right now or start brainstorming different qualities that you feel your community embodies that you embody as well. Then, we can start to help you stand out as an online business owner, as well. So start to brainstorm and let me know what you come up. And remember that you are a Fierce Business Babe, you're fiercely inspiring, fiercely powerful, fiercely authentic and fiercely profitable in everything you do.
